Senior Structural Engineer
Our client is recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their industry-respected and growing business. With offices across the UK, our multi-million-pound clients’ teams consult, deliver and manage infrastructure projects across a broad spectrum of engineering sectors.
The Role
The role would entail leading medium to large sized structural projects as well as contributing to the larger scale project that the client currently has ongoing.
This role will see you working as part of the structural / civil engineering team, focusing on a diverse portfolio of projects in the UK and around the world.
You will be working for an award-winning practice, known for providing innovative, client-focused design solutions, and adding value through quality and lateral thought. Their innovation, creative and pragmatic approach allows architectural and client aspirations to be realised. The business undertakes a wide variety of engineering projects, in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medium to large sized structural projects from concept stage through to completion
- Contribute to the larger scale project the client currently has ongoing
- Work as part of the structural / civil engineering team on a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects
- Produce innovative, client-focused design solutions using structural analysis software
- Liaise regularly with clients and external design teams
- Deliver to client deadlines while maintaining technical quality
- Manage and mentor junior colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- Degree qualified, either chartered or approaching chartered status
- Minimum 4 years' Structural Engineering Consultancy experience
- Proven project leader, able to take a project from concept stage through to completion
- Technically strong, able to work to client deadlines and inspire those around you
- Competent user of structural analysis software
- Effective communicator with experience of regular client and external design team interaction
- Experience managing junior colleagues
- Experience with AutoDesk, Tekla, Tedds or similar
- Ideally a strong interest in architecture and the wider public realm / built environment
- Full and clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
